Since 2000 MainBoard has been offering computer and network repairs, installations, setup, design, analysis and optimization for small to medium business. Now, MainBoard offers managed network through our alliance partners, manufacturer partners and our own in house options.

Break/Fix Service Rates & Fees

In Store Repairs: $55/hour.

In Store Diagnostics: $35 Minimum.

On Site Diagnostics: $150 Minimum.

Service Call Fee: $2.00/mile Travel + Applicable Hourly Rate.

Residential On Site: $55/hour.

Business Workstations/Desktops On Site: $95/hour.

Business Servers: $250/hour.

Emergency Repair: $125/hour.

Site Surveys (Satellite and Wireless): $75/hour + Travel Charge.

Pole Mount Installations for Satellites: Starts at $125, include 8' to 10' section of rigid conduit, Up to 3 bags concrete 40 lbs bags, proper grounding of pole and Satellite Antenna to NEC approved ground.

Satellite Internet Service Call (Out of Warranty): $125 - 1st Hour then $55/each add'l hour, plus parts and materials used. Must be paid ON JOB COMPLETION, adding to monthly bill is not an option.

DIRECTV or Dish Network Service Call (Out of Warranty): $75 - 1st Hour then $55/each add'l hour plus parts and materials used. Must be paid ON JOB COMPLETION, Adding this fee or charge to your DIRECTV or Dish Network monthly bill is NOT an option.

Satellite Headend System Repair: $125/hour + Travel Charge

 

Maintenance Subscriptions (12 Month Minimum)

Maintenance Subscriptions are a major business model adopted by nearly all computer repair businesses in the country today. Contracts are available and are based on client need. Discounts are available based on volume commitments. All maintenance subscriptions are for LABOR costs ONLY and do not include the cost of replacement hardware or peripherals.

  • Home User - Carry In, Desktop: $10/month.
  • Home User - Carry in, Laptop: $10/month.
  • Business Desktop/Workstation: $35/month.
  • Server Maintenance Fee: $195/month.

 

Beginning Survey for Network Analysis

1. What has changed in your network operation lately to prompt this inquiry or investigation?

2. What hardware is connected to your network?

3. Do remote locations connect to this office to retrieve data?

4. Do you have a network topography sketch detailing the hardware in place that we can review?

5. What type of uplink WAN connection do you have? What speed? What is your allowable throughput?

6. Are you under any contract commitments for your WAN / Internet / Data pipes through a telecommunications provider?

7. Please list all existing service providers to include any computer / network management companies that you utilize as well as any telecommunications providers that you have service with.

8. Do you have backups of all data current if some catastrophe were to occur in the redesign of your network?

9. Where is your backup data media? Is it locally available or through the Internet?

10. Do you have a network contingency plan for a catastrophic event? Extended power outage, Hurricane, Structure Fire, etc..
