Internet...

fiber

Internet access has traveled from being a luxury or entertainment non-essential to a vital lifeline for businesses. As demand grows more mediums for delivery become available to meet that demand.

The dream for anyone that puts a hand to a keyboard that uses the Internet is for a high-speed connection. Unfortunately, there are areas that simply cannot get a low cost connection. For business that requires a large connection and can justify the costs, a T1 or larger circuit is always available or can be made available. For others, a Satellite Internet connection is more economical and the "middle of the road" before paying several hundred per month for a T1.

Whatever your need for Internet, MainBoard can deliver. We offer our own dial up service for clients that only want to check email and maybe surf one or two top level pages. We offer DSL, Cable and Wireless service with our partner telecommunications companies and can offer special offers the carriers normally will not initially offer unless you attempt a long negotiation process.

Finally for our customers that cannot get any existing high speed internet via Cable, DSL or Fiber, High Speed Satellite by Internet is available by HughesNet. Satellite Internet is available ANYWHERE you have proper clearance of the sky. The pros are: service is available anywhere and likely can be installed anywhere, even if the installation is not free due to custom cable installation that requires longer cable runs. The cons are, Latency and initially the costs. Satellite based Internet has lag or latency to it because the satellitehughes is 24,000 miles above the earth in Geosynchronous Orbit. Your data packet must hit this satellite and get directed back down to an Earth station so your packet will travel 96,000 miles or more to get back to you. Basically games such as XBOX Live and VPN services will not work well over satellite. If you are surfing the Internet, sending and receiving email or taking college classes HughesNet is available for you. Are you ready to order? Click the Satellite above to order or click HERE! Have more questions you want to ask? Fill out the contact us form and we'll get back to you via email or by phone if you request a call.

How does your speed measure up?

Speed Test requires at least version 7 of Flash. Please update your client.

For large enterprises, we offer Ethernet 10M x 10M, DS3, OC3, OC12 and Fiber connectivity with the major Tier 1 telecommunications carriers. As a Master Agent of the carriers, we offer the same capabilities that an inside sales agent may have but we offer extensive knowledge from the practical application of the circuits, not knowledge of reading from a scripted message. Our objective is to discover what our client needs and provide that need as cost effectively as possible and offer room to upgrade when the client needs it.

Need Residential Service? Please use the links below to see if service is available at your home. If you receive your phone bill from Verizon, there is no need to see if you qualify for AT&T, Qwest or BellSouth DSL service as local phone service is governed under tariff rights - a reseller of your phone service may be available but another major telecom carrier will very likely not offer service.

If you are in a Comcast Cable served area, there is no need to test for Charter or RoadRunner as those services are not available due to franchise rights.

In some areas, CLECs may offer service when an RBOC (Regional Bell Operating Company) owns the phone lines. Service in these areas is typically available from companies such as Covad, Speakeasy, etc. Please contact us if you have any questions about availability in your area.

No High Speed in your area? MainBoard offers consultation for setup of a Wireless High Speed Internet Service provider. Do you have about 20 neighbors that are thirsting for High Speed but you have been overlooked by all of the big providers? Do you want to start a business on your own to provide service to your home and some neighbors? If so, MainBoard helps you contract out a T1 circuit then procure the wireless hardware to deliver high speed wifi Internet to your neighbors. Distance from the Access Point is a major factor so if your neighbor is over a couple of hundred feet, you move in to a bit more expensive equipment. Many factors have to be considered in this program so contact us if you may be interested.
