That is right, no joking, no scams, no hidden fine print - we cover it with you from start to finish and tell you the bottom line with promotion price and without promotion price so you know what you are paying without the promotion.

Free TV? Yes it is possible and legal! After you sign up for DirecTV through MainBoard, simply refer a family or friend to MainBoard that signs up and commits to DirecTV service just like you did and you will receive up to a $50 payment toward your DirecTV bill from DIRECTV, not a mail in rebate program or something that you have to jump through hoops for or hope that it doesn't get lost in the mail. When your friend or family comes to MainBoard to sign up, have them bring a copy of your bill - A VALID CURRENT Account is REQUIRED when they sign up or you will NOT get the credit.

We tried referral programs with other services and found that it was extremely easy to accumulate credits over $600. If your service is around $50 per month, that means 12 months of FREE TV. Stop by and see us if you have any questions about our referral program. Referral fees are limited to a maximum of 20 per account per year.

Do you have a situation - problem - not working or just plain broke DIRECTV system? Let's cover a few steps to see if this can help you get working. We offer you the VERY MOST common steps that fix 99% of the service calls we answer at MainBoard.

1. I see static on my screen.

1A. If you see static or snow on your screen, your TV is not on the proper "input channel." The input channel is the channel that your TV must be on to show DIRECTV on your TV screen. An input channel can be either Channel 3 or 4 - as most of the DIRECTV receiver "boxes" have this option to set the box to one of these channels. Other Input Channels are the Red & White Audio with a Yellow Video input called a Composite Audio and Video; another input is a Red, Blue, Green Video with a Red and White Audio called a Component Input; another option for input is an HDMI or High Definition Multimedia Interface which offers both sound and picture in the one cable. DVI or Digital Video Input offers video only and requires that you use a Red and White composite audio or a coaxial digital audio input.

As you can tell, there are several options for an "input channel" on certain televisions - you really need to learn and know this so make sure you ask your installer what input channel is on your Televisions. Write down and take notes about your TV so you can reference the notes later if you accidentially turn the channel off of the correct channel.

Believe it or not, this is the top issue with DIRECTV that has been properly installed in a home. It sounds weak and seems like this could not be a problem with DIRECTV, but it really is.

2. My remote does not do anything to my DIRECTV, it will not change the channels and the menu will not come up.

2A. This issue has about 3 steps. First check the batteries to make sure they are good - if you have already done this, please do it again, make sure the batteries you put in the remote were good to begin with. If you have the newer RC32 or up remote which has a white plastic faceing with a Black matte back, this remote has a slider bar along the top of the remote and a green light that will light up when a button is pushed on the remote. If this light is not a solid green but a dull and week looking green, the batteries are very weak and should be replaced. Second, if the light is good, make sure the little slider is all the way to the left under the DIRECTV symbol. Last of all, if the batteries are good and the slider is in the correct place, the receiver or "box" could be in a state of confusion as we have noticed some of the High Definition DVRs will do ever now and then and they must be rebooted or reset. On the right front side of your receiver, there should be a small latched door that can be opened with one or two fingers by pulling the door forward. Inside this door, there is a red reset button, push this button and wait about 5 or so minutes for your receiver to reboot and your remote should work properly again.
